Quality assurance

In accordance with the Chancellor’s Decree Number 153/IV/2017, quality assurance at UMS uses a tiered system from the university, faculty and study program levels. The existence of tiered quality assurance can be used as control and monitoring of chess dharma activities carried out by lecturers at UMS. At the university level, there is a Quality Assurance Agency (LJM) as an institution responsible for the development and implementation of a Quality Assurance System at the University, both in the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and the External Quality Assurance System (SPME). LJM will always report the results of quality assurance to the Chancellor of UMS as a form of accountability. The UMS LJM organizational structure is in accordance with the UMS Chancellor’s Decree Number 133/IV/2021, where the structure at UMS LJM is divided into Heads of Monev, Quality Audit, and National Accreditation; Head of System Development and International Accreditation; and Head of Administrative Affairs. At the UMS FKIP level, there is a Faculty Quality Assurance Group (GJM) and a Study Program Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) in accordance with the UMS Chancellor’s Decree Number 113/IV/2021. GJM FKIP will always coordinate with the Dean of FKIP in the process of developing and implementing SPMI and SPME at the Faculty level. GJM FKIP will work together with UJM to carry out quality assurance in every study program within FKIP.

UMS Quality Assurance Organizational Structure and Governance

Strengthening quality assurance at UMS is equipped with quality documents which include quality policies, quality manuals, quality standards, quality procedures, work procedures or work instructions as well as various supporting manuals. The Quality Standards adopted 24 Higher Education National Standards and were developed into 32 UMS Standards which were documented in SM-UMS-01 to.d. SM-UMS-32.
